At the MG booth at the Chengdu Auto Show on August 25, the soft-top convertible electric sports car MG Cyberster debuted to the public for the first time in a variety of colors. At the same time, MG MULAN was officially renamed MG4 EV.
MG Cyberster is the first electric car to adopt scissor door + soft top convertible designMoving sports car. The appearance pays tribute to MG's legendary roadster MGB while incorporating electrified elements.
The aerodynamic air duct grille on the front face comes from MGB’s straight waterfall air intake grille. The side waistline continues the traditional design of British sports cars. The rear of the car is derived from the classic Kammback rear shape, and has an upturned duck tail design, which combined with the bottom diffuser can reduce rear turbulence.
The interior cockpit adopts an enveloping design. The instrument adopts a folding triple screen. A large number of physical buttons are retained, and the opening and closing of the convertible can also be directly operated through physical buttons. At a speed of 50km/h, it only takes 10 seconds to complete the operation. The car adopts Zebra intelligent cockpit system Cyber OS, and the entire series is equipped with 8155 chip.
In terms of power, the four-wheel drive performance version can output 400kW+725Nm of power and only takes 3.2 seconds from 0-100km/h. Chassis tuning was done personally by a former Ferrari chassis engineer. The new car is expected to be equipped with two battery packs, 64kWh and 77kWh, with corresponding cruising ranges of 501km, 520km and 580km depending on the power level.
