Recently, Polestar announced its sales data for the first four months of 2022. At the same time, it said that Polestar 3 will be launched in October and can be ordered on the day of its debut.

Compared with 2021, sales in the first four months of this year more than doubled to 13,600 vehicles. At the same time, orders more than tripled to nearly 23,000 vehicles. In addition, Polestar also announced a global partnership with Hertz to provide 65,000 vehicles in the next five years.

However, due to the impact of the epidemic, Polestar announced that the number of vehicles it can deliver in 2022 will be reduced from 65,000 to about 50,000. Polestar said it will not affect the brand's short-term and long-term sales targets.

It is worth noting that Polestar revealed that the new car Polestar 3 will debut in October. The new car is built on the SPA2 platform, with a target cruising range of 612 kilometers. It is positioned as a medium-sized SUV and will compete with the Tesla Model Y.
