Recently, we learned from Tesla officials that Tesla currently has no plans to use Starlink services in mainland China. All vehicles and charging stations in mainland China are operated by China Communications Network services provided by providers, and all relevant data are stored in mainland China.

It is reported that Starlink is a service launched by Space Exploration Technology Company (Space Problems that cannot be covered by the Internet. It is worth noting that Space X and Tesla are two completely independent companies.

According to the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) regulations, relevant international treaties and laws and regulations of various countries, relevant enterprises need to obtain approval from local regulatory authorities before using Starlink services. In terms of hardware conditions, the Starlink service requires the installation of a matching receiver to be used, and the receiver must be fixed in an open and roofless position, which means that, Tesla cannot use Starlink services in mainland China, whether for vehicles or charging stations.
