On January 4, Geely Xingyue L added a new 8AT two-wheel drive flagship model, priced at 168,200 yuan. The new model has rich configurations and is basically in line with the four-wheel drive flagship model. The biggest change is that it adopts a front-wheel drive mode and has a lighter curb weight. (The picture in the article is of the four-wheel drive flagship model. The appearance/interior of the new model has not changed. It is for reference.)
In terms of appearance, Geely Xingyue L adopts the design concept of the Geely 4.0 era of technology. The straight waterfall air intake grille on the front face is embellished with a large number of chrome trim strips, and the all-black LOGO on the central inlay is highly recognizable. It also further highlights the sense of luxury. The large-sized trapezoidal air intakes and three-stage design on both sides of the bumper add to the sporty feel of the vehicle. Although positioned as a compact SUV, it looks more like a higher-level mid-size SUV in terms of visual effects and momentum.
In terms of the interior, the three large screens across the center console are the biggest highlight. Officially called it the "Scroll of Vision" iMax screen, like a flat scroll, it combines a 10.25-inch digital LCD instrument, a 12.3-inch Integrated three-inch multimedia screen and a 12.3-inch touch high-definition co-pilot exclusive screen enhance the sense of luxury and technology in the entire cockpit. Moreover, this horizontal line can further widen the visual width of the car, making it look more majestic.
The configuration of the new model is on par with the four-wheel drive flagship model, and is richer than the sub-top four-wheel drive premium model. The new car uses Yanfei Lishi in the audio system. At the same time, compared with the top model, it lacks the LKA lane keeping assist system, BSD blind spot monitoring system, DOW door opening warning system, RCTA rear cross traffic emergency alarm, LCA automatic lane change assist, and APA automatic Assisted driving configurations such as parking.
In terms of power, the new car continues to be equipped with the VEP4 inline four-cylinder turbocharged engine of the Drive-E series, with a maximum power of 175kW and a peak torque of 350 N·m. The transmission system is matched with an 8AT gearbox from Aisin, and the drive mode is front-wheel drive. The curb weight is 1695kg, which is lighter than the 1780kg of the four-wheel drive premium and flagship models. This is because the four-wheel drive is reduced. The new car's comprehensive operating fuel consumption is 7.7L/100km.
