In terms of appearance design, the front part of SOLTERRA creates a very strong cross-border attribute, especially The black lower surround is paired with a silver guard plate, and the sharp-edged shape also has a very wild flavor. In addition, SOLTERRA also continues the tradition of low visual center of gravity of other SUV models in the Subaru family.
The external dimensions of the new car are 4690 mm long, 1860 mm wide, 1650 mm high, and the wheelbase is 2850 mm. In terms of power, a 150-kilowatt electric motor is used with front-wheel drive, and a 71.4-kilowatt-hour battery corresponds to a range of 530 kilometers; the combined power of the front and rear dual motors is 160 kilowatts, and with four-wheel drive, the range is 460 kilometers with the same battery capacity. In addition, the vehicle supports fast charging of up to 150 kilowatts.
SOLTERRA’s interior design is relatively traditional, with a T-shaped layout cutting each functional area Now, the central control area is relatively large, and the function adjustment buttons are basically controlled by touch. Looking at the picture, the gear shifting mechanism has been replaced by a knob, which is also a common design technique for many electric vehicles. The instrument panel is not large in size, but it can display a lot of information.
SOLTERRA is based on the e-SUBARU GLOBAL PLATFORM platform jointly developed by Subaru and Toyota. It can combine several modules and units such as the front, middle and rear of the body to achieve high efficiency. The implementation is applied to many different EV vehicles. In the four-wheel drive model, the vehicle is equipped with the X-MODE AWD control system to enhance handling and stability. In addition, the vehicle also incorporates Grip Control configuration to ensure driving performance on non-paved roads.
